"Above and Beyond", our study of the Sermon on the Mount, will take us to a deeper understanding of how radically different the life of a Christian will be from the world and its values as we truly follow Jesus Christ. The challenge for the believer will be to quit just going through the motions of religion, and develop the relationship we have with Jesus as Lord. It will also challenge the seeker to discover the truth of what Jesus is calling us to - full surrender. Join us as we grow in His Word together!

Anastasia Baptist Church does allow certain non-ministry use of the church property with the understanding that those events are not in conflict with our purpose of glorifying God and impacting our community with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.Ministry events take priority over non-church events. Also, some activities are not consistent with our primary purpose as a church; therefore, Anastasia Baptist Church may have to decline some applications. We have provided guidelines to help communicate the criteria by which events are approved.Download the guidelines and an application for using Anastasia Baptist Church facilities.Download the current fee schedule

WELCOME to WOMEN'S MINISTRY! - ABC Women's Ministry

Praise God!What a wonderful opportunity for God to do a mighty work in our church. As we have been called to "go and tell" (Matthew 28:19), we are being called to step forward and disciple others; but our hearts are hurting for our families and friends - not only our sisters in Christ, but our co-workers and neighbors. I pray and hope that our Women's Ministry will be used of God as we obey His call, step out in faith and make ourselves available to serve. This is just the start - with God in the picture, how many lives will He touch through the relationships we build and the seeds we sow to further His Kingdom!

We are called to be leaders who, just like Jesus, seek to serve others - not ourselves. Join with us, and jump right in - NO FEAR! God will be right there to carry us through!

Wednesday Night Bible Study Starting Jan. 6, 2010, in Room 191, ANNEX (Pink House)REVELATION!

Many consider it to be "confusing" or "difficult to understand", but God chose to call it "Revelation" for a reason. Be with us as we unlock the "mysteries" of this sacred text, and learn not only about end times prophecy, but the testimony of Jesus Christ to His Church today! You don't have to take my word for it--in the opening chapter, the Apostle John tells us, "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written it it..."

Tell a friend, and come! Class will start at 6:00 pm, and run 'till 7:30 pm.

We're saving a place at the table for you!

Anastasia Baptist Church stands at a crucial time in it's existence. God has blessed us over the last 40+ years as we've followed Him and carried out His purpose for us as the body of Christ. We have seen Him provide strong leadership - both volunteer and staff - who have a heart for impacting our community with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, and we have been blessed with the resources to move forward in that mission.

However, for the last three years, we have had to limit our spending on ministry opportunities to pay off a rather large debt. Even through that time though, God has been faithful to lead us to begin two new works at our State Road 16 Campus, and we have seen hundreds of people give their lives to Jesus as their Lord and Savior at A But there is so much more He wants us to do, and so many more people to impact for Christ.

Unfortunately, at the present time, we are servants to two masters...the Lord Jesus Christ, and the bank (Proverbs 22:7). Now is the time for us to pay off this debt and be servants who are solely focused on the one true Master and Lord, Jesus! Now is the time for sacrifice and surrender. Now is the time for us to make an investment in the future of Anastasia.

"Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:13

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Would you join me in praying that every single family who attends Anastasia Baptist Church will participate in Investing in the Future? Several months ago, we voted to enter into a debt retirement campaign. Since that time, I have been continually thanking our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the group of highly committed individuals, led by Dick Parker, who have been seeking the Lord's will in prayer and tirelessly working to share this plan with you ... the body of Christ.

Investing in the Future accurately portrays the challenge we face. If we do nothing and merely pay the debt through our church budget, we will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest, rather than for ministry over a period of many years.

However, if we are serious about Investing in the Future and successfully eliminate the debt by 2012, the increased ministry influence in this community in the near future will be staggering! That's why this undertaking is called Investing in the Future. Our goal is not to merely confront a problem from the past, but to prepare us to meet the ministry opportunities God is placing before us.

I am certain the Lord is calling us to take up this challenge. I also trust that He will lead us to succeed. I believe that if every family that attends Anastasia Baptist were to make a pledge, large or small, to unite in Investing in the Future, that future generations will indeed "praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them..." (2 Corinthians 9:13). Please pray for the Lord to show you how you will take part in Investing in the Future.

May Christ bless you richly,

Walter West, Pastor

Dinner Theatre presents," The Tradition Continues"

"In His Company" is presenting its fourth annual Dinner Theater Friday December 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Christian Life Center.

"The Tradition Continues", brings back our college sweethearts from last year's dinner theater, Hanna and Eric. After getting the two different families together last year, they are now getting married this year. Grandma Maddy will return, cantankerous as ever, and coming to the wedding this year is her sister, Aunt Addy. The fun begins here! There are a few more new faces to add to the family, but the Christmas story is the same and brings more members into the family of Christ.

• Food will be provided by Outback Steakhouse and Anastasia food service ministry.
• Tickets will be $10
• First choice ticketing and seating will be made available first to life groups on November 8.
• General ticket sales will be open November 14 at both campuses and will close December 6.
• For more information call Toni Main (904) 669-5360
