Volunteer Opportunities
Below are some of the many possibilities to serve at Anastasia Baptist Church. For more opportunities, check out the Volunteer Connection bulletin board in the CLC first floor near the kitchen.
R.A.s Volunteer (Royal Ambassadors). R.A.'s is a club-style ministry to grade school boys for the purpose of character development and missions (missionary) education. The need is for someone to assist the current volunteers. R.A.'s meets every Wednesday night during the school year from 7PM to 8PM. For more information or to volunteer, contact the ministry leader Becky Yeoman. Parking Lot Ministry. Serve in the parking lot either weekly, bi-weekly, or every other month. Safely park as many cars as possible on the ABC campus. To maximize the number of cars that park on the ABC campus. To welcome worshipers to ABC as they enter by car.Parking lot team serves from 9 a.m. until 9:40 each Sunday morning. Parking lot ministry positions available also from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. For more information or to volunteer, contact the ministry leader Mark Martin.
Youth Workers Needed. Opportunities to work with kids in 6th through 12th grade are available. Volunteers must be members of Anastasia Baptist Church and complete the screening process. Volunteers are needed on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Saturday evenings. For more information or to volunteer, contact ministry leader Pastor Mason Reigger.
Nursing Home Visitor/Connector. To provide relationship and connection between the church body and those confined in area nursing homes.To assist the Deacon Ministry which is concerned with the spiritual well being of our church members who cannot share actively in our church experience. Visits can be made at your convenience and availability. Visits are best if kept to 45 miniutes, or less. Visit once a week, every two weeks, or even once a month. Each and every visit is appreciated. Great opportunity for a family or a couple or a Life Group. Long-term commitment of at least 6 months is preferred. Church Campus Tour Guide. Tour guides are needed to help familiarize new people with the facilities in order to help them get involved. The tour guides will meet people at the welcome desk on Saturdays or Sundays (9AM or 10:30 AM) and give walking tours of the chuch campus. Volunteer Connection Coaches. Help new members become involved in the life of the congregation by helping them to find an appropriate entry level ministry position. Meet with new members, one-on-one, and help them assess their own spiritual gifs, abilities and personality style. Recommend appropriate entry level ministry possibilities. Everyone Working with Kids at ABC Must Be Screened
Safety of our children is a priority at Anastasia Baptist Church. All people who volunteer with children must be members of the church for at least six months and complete the screening process.
