Canines for Christ

Canines for Christ is an all-volunteer mission sponsored by Anastasia Baptist Church in an effort to expand our ministry into all areas of St. Johns County to those who are unable to do for themselves.
Our goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ through the warmth of well-trained, docile and loving dogs to those in nursing homes, hospice care facilities, hospitals and children's homes in St. Johns County on a regular basis. 

CANINES FOR CHRIST TRAINING
All participants must be trained and certified in accordance with program guidelines:

• Patient Etiquette
• Animal Familiarization
• Application of Dog Handling
• Dog Testing

To insure safety at all times, all dogs participating must be rigorously tested under program guidelines.  Training classes are held in the Annex on our Island Campus.  Call Diane at 501-5706 for more information.  No dogs will be brought to a facility without passing every aspect of the test.
